If you have ever wandered through Fort William near the historic Fort William Collegiate Institute (side tangent: we gotta talk about this building, SOON), you may have been captivated by the vibrant array of colours blooming from one particular garden on Marks Street.
Marks Street Florals is the newest homegrown floral extravaganza to blossom in our city!
With a stunning variety of lilies, poppies, dahlias, zinnias, and more, you could easily spend hours admiring the gorgeousness from the sidewalk. The immense amount of work and love poured into curating such a spectacular garden is truly incredible!
My friends, Melissa and Toby have created a literal piece of paradise right within the city limits!
Toby’s passion for the outdoors, flora, and fauna has transformed their backyard, front yard, side yards… and even the boulevard into a floral sanctuary! With a keen eye for colour, height, variety, and blooming schedules, his gardens serve as a spectacular illustration of nature’s beauty and a vital haven for local bees.
Thanks to the time, energy, and care invested in these gardens, this labour of love can now brighten your home in the form of a fresh, beautiful bouquet!

How to Order:
Simply send a direct message on either platform to arrange for payment and pickup.
Don’t forget to say “Hey!” to Melissa + Maeghan! As they are the ones behind the scenes running the socials, gathering flowers and creating arrangements!
Melissa and Toby hope to host a pop-up stand later this summer that will accept cash and e-transfers. In the meantime, the best way to stay updated is to follow their social media pages!
Support your local flower lovers, or simply enjoy a stroll to admire the blooms from the sidewalk. Either way, something wonderful is growing in a historic neighbourhood of Thunder Bay, and you should check it out!
